Michael Cripps
Mike is the Founder /Chairman of London-based executive search firm Cripps Sears and Partners Ltd, and head of the company’s Energy practice.
Educated in the UK, Mike spent his early career in industry/industrial management and founded Cripps Sears while still in his 20s. Initially based in London’s upmarket Knightsbridge, its target market was fairly broad and not initially focused on the oil and gas sector. However, by the late 1970s Mike’s interest had turned in that direction, with regular visits to Aberdeen.
Over time, the focus of the company both broadened geographically, opening international offices in 4/5 other locations and narrowed. By the early 80s it had become well known in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. Mike is himself active globally.
Mike and his wife Carolyn founded ABC in 2008.
